Since the beginning of time if there has ever been a problem where a couple cannot have a child it is completely the woman's fault. It is the woman's burden to bear an heir to the family name there was never ever any talk about whether the male's sperm was potentially sterile or if there was any sort of an issue with the man. Historical figures such as King Henry the 8th took such extreme actions against his wifes who could not produce and heir and instead of thinking that it was a problem with himself he ended up beheading 8 women! The women always have to seek out fertility treatment and and take hormones and inject themselves with different type of medicines to try and enhance their chances of having children. This puts men in a position of power because they are the ones who are able to have children while women are the ones who continue to fail. New developments have been taking place in the drug world and doctors are saying that it is not always the women's fault that a child cannot be produced. The FDA has recently approved new fertility drugs for men. This development will help pave the path to equality in reproduction between men and women and will take some of the burden off of women.
