Keeping Children Away from Sex/Nudity

In discussion, there were some interesting topics that came up, and they reminded me of Freud. Freud said children have sexualities too--but society does not allow them to be free with it. In fact, society represses children's sexualities. Schools teach sex ed in a bad, discouraging light, as if it's a bad thing. Yet everyone does it. Children are proof of that. So why does society want to push kids away from sex? Why should it only be for adults? Apparently kids are "too young". But for what? If sex is natural, and children could be feeling aroused/could already be sexual anyway (if Freud is right), why does it matter that they are young? Why is it that children cannot watch films with nudity? Is it because they can't handle it, or because they'll become weirdly fascinated by porn or something? People run after something more when they are not allowed to have it, so exposing them to nudity or porn might just prevent the obsession with it instead of encouraging it.

I think children are kept away from nudity and sex because society believes it will "corrupt" them. That means sex has become a bad thing. But why? Because it is something society overindulges in, maybe. It is used purely for pleasure sometimes--not always making love, or making babies. But then why should pleasure be bad? It could be because sex has changed over the years. There's a lot of "kinky" and dirty aspects to it where it becomes "indecent". But who decided such things were indecent, and why? Why did sex become a taboo? How did it become a vice? There are so many questions, and they have difficult answers. Food for thought.
